Sensor solutions for different application scenarios

Day 3: Lectures and visits of TechBase laboratories

Day 3 of our Summerschool started with facts and figures about the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (located in Regensburg), the well-known world market leader in the field of transfomer switching. Core business of our member Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen is the regulation of power transformers. This is done above all with the aid of tap changers, which adapt the transmission ratio of the primary to secondary winding to changing load ratios and, together with additional, innovative products and services, ensure an interruption-free power supply. Dr. Kurz from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen focussed on challenges and solutions of modern sensing systems for power systems.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS is one of the world’s leading application-oriented research institutions for microelectronic and IT system solutions and services. It is the largest of all Fraunhofer Institutes. In close cooperation with partners and clients the Fraunhofer Institute provides research and development services in several research areas.

"Sensors for human-computer interaction" - that was Dr. Raphael Wimmers topic.  The research area 'Interactive User Experience' bundles several application-oriented research projects of the Chair of Media Informatics (Prof. Dr. Christian Wolff) at the University of Regensburg. The offices and laboratories are also located in the TechBase.

In addition to modern process management, Bertrandt specializes in ADAS/AD Software & Functions, E-Mobility Software & Functions and Connected Cloud Computing. The Bertrandt Technologie GmbH (Regensburg) supports its supraregional, partly international customers effectively with project teams of up to 25 software experts.
