The “Strategic Partnership for Sensor Technologies” (SPS) acts as a network and platform focused on research and development in the field of sensor technologies. The network with more than 50 companies and institutions from the economic and scientific world is meant to encourage business networking, product innovations and competence build-up. In this context it is intended to encourage the optimization of the in Bavaria/Germany distributed resources in collaborative projects. Main objective of the technology network is to increase market opportunities for Bavarian/German sensor technology companies that actively develop, manufacture, sell or utilize sensors. To achieve those objectives the SPS intensifies the initiation of cooperation agreements and cooperative projects at regional, national and international level. In addition to that the sensor technologies network drives the expansion of research capacities at Bavarian universities and supports knowledge and experience exchange between corporations, small and medium businesses and universities. Next to the organization of workshops, technical forums, conferences and publications it is a key objective to stimulate cooperations.

 
In order to implement those objectives the SPS offers a customized service package to its membership companies. The package includes services in the fields of subsidy programs, development projects, sales, marketing and qualification.
  • Subsidy Programs: Next to the creation of concepts and proposals the SPS is able to take care of partner search and coordination as well as the project management.
  • Development projects: The SPS accelerates the technology transfer between universities and the industry. As a result the innovation-management of the partners is actively supported. At the same time the partners benefit from temporarily additional development capacities to work on projects. Due to monitoring and coaching of development orders the SPS operates a reliable risk-management for quality insurance. 
  • Sales: In the phase of planning and implementing sales actions the SPS is able to support its members in partner search on national and international level. That includes the creation of future-oriented company and sales strategies.
  • Marketing: With a joint presence over the sensor technologies network the partners increase their name recognition. As targeted marketing actions there are joint fair stands, an extensive internet presence, different events (technology forums, businessman workshops, laboratory presentations, colloquia and more)  as well as articles in professional magazines available.



You can achieve a membership in the “Partnership for Sensor Technologies” by submitting a membership application to the executive board. You can become a member if you are a person or corporate body by law and if you support the association’s objectives. As a member different annual membership fees apply depending on your membership class and the status of your company.
